Hi, Kim, the floors look great! I just discovered your comment on my post that showed son Christian showing us his handprint tile at our elementary school. This was a really neat fundraiser our school did last year. I don't remember if the tiles were $10 or $20, but teachers and students were offered the opportunity to purchase one for a tile wall outside the school cafeteria. I thought this was a great idea -- especially since I have two more children to follow at that school. What a neat way to memorialize Christian's elementary school days! The tiles look like those from a local pottery painting studio, but I'm not sure who the school used. Toward the end of school, the tiles were put up. There are several rows of students' tiles with name and handprint and teachers' tiles with names and artwork or handprint. There is still more room on the wall, so I assume we will have opportunity to purchase tiles for future students. I think it will be really neat years from now for the kids to return to the school and find their handprints. Best wishes to you as you begin a new school year!
Melissa, Thanks for letting me know about the tiles. That sounds like something I'd like to try at my school. I too love the idea of having something at our elementary school to commemorate students' K-3 years.
The floor looks very nice!
