Lads to Leaders

This year Lads to Leaders was held during Retreat Weekend, so I didn't get to go. Wayne and the kids traveled to Nashville without me. I'm very proud of Katy and Daniel for participating in several events including speech, Good Samaritan, song-leading, puppets, scrapbook, and oral Bible reading. Katy has also been teaching this year, so she received a special award for that. I'm also very proud of them for encouraging others while they do their events. They're pretty good kids!!!

Lads to Leaders

This weekend we went to Nashville for the Lads to Leaders Convention. Katy and Daniel both participated in several events. Katy did Good Samaritan, Photography, Scrapbook, Speech, and Puppets. Daniel did Good Samaritan, Speech, Songleading, Oral Bible Reading, and Puppets. We are very proud of them both!

Our group did very well at the convention. Becky and I are trying to think of ways to help make this a more productive activity for our young people. It really provides the kids great opportunities to learn about being leaders in the church.
